Among her writings, a timely parenting book,
addresses families torn by separation and divorce.
After dealing with many deaths and planning celebration of life festivities, friends sought her advice. Before long, she began composing details which lead to her current release: The Goodbye Book, The Ultimate Gift For Your Children, How To Say "Goodbye" - Celebrating life while Leaving your Legacy.
Her Dear Mother May I column directs answers to children's questions about daily challenges.
While on a soul journey, returning to her mother's North Dakota roots, she photographed and wrote about her numerous activities including farming and ranching, fishing, hunting and other life adventures of the Prairie. Many of these tales are for a future book about life on the Heartland's Prairie including a hunting trip in the Medora area with Tweed Roosevelt, great grandson of President Theodore Roosevelt. Currently penning a book about Lewis and Clark, she recently returned from a two year historic journey traveling alongside the St. Charles Corps of Discovery re-enactors, many direct descendants of Lewis and Clark, as they relived the 200th anniversary of this great exploration of the western United States territory.
The Bismarck Tribune commissioned her to write the Notable North Dakotans lead story for which she won the Mental Health Association of North Dakota Media Award. She has also written articles for Ducks Unlimited, The Greeter, Inspire Magazine, the Winston-Salem Journal, Homeplace, The Jamestown News, The Moravian, a ballooning article for The Albuquerque Tribune which reported a sell out story request.
Marcia wrote a successful grant nominating Rose Stoller for the prestigious Eli Lilly Welcome Back Award for Community Service.
She consults with families and educators conducting workshops and motivational speaking engagements.
Residing in North Carolina so she can be close to her family, she welcomes each new grandchild, rocking them in that old rockin' chair singing her Chocolate Song, "My precious, precious child, I love you More than Chocolate, I'll love you more and more each day."
